Never Make Yourself Damaged by Laser Pointer
A laser pointer is a small device that emits a beam of light used to pinpoint objects of interest. Laser pointers come in different colors depending on the nanometer wavelength. Red laser pointers use a 650nm diode, red-orange laser pointers use a 635nm diode and green pointers use a 532nm diode. Orange and green laser pointers are more expensive but easily visible because the human eye detects their wavelengths easier. Laser pointers come in many shapes and can be as small as a lighter or as big as a flashlight.
As far as power output, laser pointers do not release that much power. Especially not when compared to a normal 75mW or 100mW light globe. What makes the light from laser pointers so dangerous is that it has two unique properties.
Very simply high power laser pointer beams are very concentrated and narrow beams of light and lasers can have a range measured in tens of kilometers. A high power green laser pointer may have a range of 20 to 30 kilometers but it will not have any power or be dangerous at this range. Even the best quality lasers will have a beam that grows in size by 10cm for every 100 meters. By the time the laser beam has covered 1 kilometer, the beam will be the size of a door way and will be incapable of causing any damage or harm.
Put the LED flashlight into the hobby vice with the reflector end facing up. Insert the laser housing conductive pins first into the LED flashlight.
Due to its high power it can permanently damage a person’s eye. As it can form a continuous line of light that might reveal a person’s position so it cannot be used in stealthy operations or by SWAT.
Never use your laser pointer in the vicinity of airports, highways, construction sites or anywhere individuals need to constantly pay attention to their work for their own safety. A split-second distraction--a sudden laser light in a plane cockpit, for example--can be disastrous.
For the laser hobbyist who does not deliberately target an aircraft, laser pointers for sale are safe to use out doors at night. A good precaution when pointing lasers at the sky is to first check the sky to make sure it is free of aircraft and avoid using green laser pointers around airports.More information on tradetang.com.
